How far in advance do I need to book my cake?
As we bake everything from scratch and do not use preservatives we can only take a certain number of cakes per week. So the sooner you book the better.
PLEASE NOTE TO BOOK AND HOLD YOUR DATE FOR YOU A 10% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED.
How much deposit do you require?
We require a 10% deposit to secure your booking, 40% is required 4 weeks before your cake is due and the balance 2 weeks before your cake is due. All deposits are non refundable and non transferable.
Will someone help me design my cake?
Yes we are only to happy to assist you in designing your cake. If you have a special theme in mind, it is a good idea to bring in colour samples and/or pictures of what you like so we can help you design your ideal cake.
What factors will influence the cost of my cake?
Our cakes are made with high quality ingredients however it's not only the ingredients which are the major cost factor - it is the time involved in the decoration. For example, each petal on a sugar rose is hand cut and shaped. Cakes which require shaping such as 3D party cakes all need a lot of work. Even colouring icing into bright shades takes a lot of time. Therefore cakes that are difficult, an unusual shape or that require a lot of modelling or sugar flowers will be more expensive.
Can you make the icing fiqurines look like us?
If you supply a picture we can match your dress, colour of your flowers, hair, skin, suits and tie.
Do you deliver ?
Yes we can deliver. Delivery charges apply depending on where the cake needs to go.
Can I pick up my cake?
Yes, if you are picking up your cake we suggest that you transport the cake in the flattest part of the car. If it is a hot day we recommend that you use your car's air conditioning. When you arrive home with your iced cake we advise that you place it in a cool room (not fridge) out of direct sunlight and away from any heat source. If your cake has fresh cream we recommend refrigeration.
How long will the icing fiqurines last?
Icing Figurines can last for a very long time as long as they are stored properly. They need to be out of direct sunlight to stop colours fading too quickly and stored in an air tight container. However, after time the colours do tend to fade.
